What is a parent coach?
I am an observer to your unfiltered thoughts, a space-holder for your pain and buried emotions, an energetic presence in the hard parenting moments…so you can be a cycle-breaker, change-maker & conscious creator of your parenting reality.
I am here to highlight your strengths and recognise your blindspots as a parent. Together, we reshape your pain points into growth points. Parent coaching builds the scaffolding needed for emotional relief and gets to the root cause, rather than address the symptoms, of what you’re struggling with.
Your learning and unlearning will have a ripple effect beyond the scope of parenting.
What our 60-min coaching sessions may entail:
Active & reflective listening
Truly slow down, receive undivided attention in a space free from judgment & comparison. An opportunity to be deeply heard, seen & understood.
Revisit your early years
We touch on your childhood & explore your family dynamics to connect the dots on how generational patterns influence current parenting patterns.
Connection with Self
Practise identifying your feelings, stating your needs, grounding into safety, creating a coherent narrative, exercising self-compassion & self-empathy.
Deep dive into your beliefs
Challenge what you believe about yourself, your child and what parenting ‘should be’. We contemplate ways to reframe your belief system that feel honest & aligned to you.
Conscious action steps
Meet your parenting challenges with conscious & practical tools, in a way that honours your role as a parent & preserves the relationship with your child.
Emotional Regulation
Explore both you and your child’s calming tools, & frameworks to better cope in moments where you are hijacked by your triggers. Learn more about self-regulation and co-regulation.
You will benefit from parent coaching more so if you are…
Healing from your own childhood wounds and generational trauma while navigating parenthood
Raising a highly sensitive and/or neurodivergent child (or highly sensitive and/or neurodivergent yourself)
Yearning to offer your child a different upbringing from the one you had
Grappling with aggression, anger, rage and explosive behaviours - from your child and/or yourself
Consuming all the parenting content from social media, books and podcasts AND still feeling stuck
In a constant state of helplessness, frustration, defeat and resentment
Depleted from a continuous cycle of emotional battles with your child and/or yourself
Solo parenting and feeling alone
Drowned by feelings of shame, guilt, fear, self-blame
Disconnected, numb and withdrawn from people and activities as a form of coping
